Windows 7 has been released to manufacturing (RTM).

For those who don’t know what RTM means, it implies that the development for Windows 7 is now complete and has gone through all of the internal Microsoft validation tests.

Windows 7 will now be passed to Microsoft partners will be made available to the public on October 22, 2009.

Thank goodness the days of Vista are now numbered.  Two more months and we’ll never have to put up with crappy Vista again.

One of the best technical guides available showing you the various new features available in Windows 7 can be found over at the WinSupersite Windows 7 feature focus.

And for those interested with server-side operating systems, Windows Server 2008 R2 also RTM’d today.
