Windows 7 beta 1 is set to be released in January 2009

For those of you waiting to get your hands on a copy of the upcoming version of Windows 7, it seems that beta 1 will be released on January 13 2009.

If you’ve seen some of the new facy features already, then here are some tips on how to get some of those features on existing versions of Windows.

In case you’re wondering, Windows 7 is currently scheduled to be released to manufacturing at around the June/July 2009 timeframe.

Microsoft will also be releasing Vista SP2 in April 2009.
