Hidden Outlook Web Access 2007 demo – prepare to be impressed

by ron on March 18, 2007

OWA2007I’m currently preparing for a Microsoft Roadshow conference (to be held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne), where I’ll be presenting on the new Exchange Server 2007.

In looking around for screenshots to use for my presentation, I stumbled upon a Microsoft developer blog, which had a link to a detailed demo on the new features of Outlook Web Access 2007.

Now that Exchange 2007 has been officially released, Microsoft have posted a number of good demos showing all of the main new features of Exchange. But there’s no comparison between the official demo of Outlook Web Access 2007 shown on that prior link versus the demo shown at the Exchange developer blog. The latter version blows away the official one.

I warn you though. If you have any degree of tech-geek syndrome within you, you’re about to be very impressed….

Here’s the link to the hidden Outlook Web Access 2007 demo. It takes around 15 minutes to go through.
I’m not sure how long this link will remain live, so I suggest you shoot over there and check it out.

Feel free to leave comments letting me know which features you liked the most from the demo.

On a related note, I will be doing a recording of my Microsoft Roadshow Exchange 2007 presentation and posting it on this blog within the next few days…..so if you’re impressed with the new features of Outlook Web Access 2007, just wait until you see what other new features are available in Exchange 2007. If you want a sneak peak, you can take a look at my notes on the Exchange 2007 overview wiki.

So be sure to subscribe to the RSS or email updates of this blog in order to be able to see this detailed presentation as soon as it becomes available.
