I personally checked it out myself, and the file downloads and installs just fine (even though the download is a bit slow). You're correct in saying that there is an official free version from the same company, but this offers just very basic protection and features. The Pro version mentioned above is normally worth around $40, but can be downloaded for free until Jan 17th.
